Enabling grassroots women businesses to drive regional trade
Hosted by the Association of Business Women, Uzbekistan, innovations for farmers, solving problems with the help of digital technologies and modern know-how, logistics and export opportunities, all answered at the IV Forum of Women Farmers of Uzbekistan.
With the involvement of the Union, women farmers from Tajikistan attended and new business links were formed.

Women Farmer Conference Video.mp4Hosted by the Association of Business Women, Uzbekistan, the Forum "E-Commerce in Handicraft as a Driver of Key Changes in Women's Entrepreneurship in Central Asia" helped to facilitate regional business between in the handicrafts sector.
The Forum will focused on promoting the development of digital solutions in the handicrafts sector, planning regional activities to enhance the e-commerce skills of female artisans, showcasing innovative opportunities for online sales in women's business, and developing proposals to expand online trade and the promotion of artisans' products to new markets.
A major international business congress on franchising, BuyBrand Central Asia, was held in Almaty from May 11 to 12 with the support of the Association of Business Women of Kazakhstan.
President of ABW Kazakhstan, Raushan Sarsembayeva spoke at the event, and women entrepreneurs from across Central Asia attended. The discussions included an overview of the current state of macroeconomics and the business climate of the countries of the Central Asian region, the advantages of the regional markets for franchising, the choice of a franchise, the basics and strategy of international expansion, legal aspects, risks and opportunities.
The conference from Union of Women Entrepreneurs, Kazakhstan, will assess how cooperation can drive women's entrepreneurship. Entitled "Development of women's entrepreneurship - an effective resource for the country" the conference will develop a package of proposals for effective cooperation between government agencies, NGOs and business.
This will include stakeholders and business women from across Central Asia, looking at how this approach can be applied at a regional level.
The regional event "Expanding women's access to the markets of Central Asia" will be hosted by the National Association of Business Women of Tajikistan.
The event will focus on how women entrepreneurs can find markets and opportunities to grow their businesses and work at a regional level. The role that relevant stakeholders can play in the facilitation of a greater role for women businesses in the region will also be explored.
The Association of Business Women Kazakhstan put digital connections at the forefront of their work. With the "Digitalisation and integration of the Central Asia market place for improved trade effectiveness" event, there is a unique opportunity to include women entrepreneurs from across Central Asia.
Trade and business doesn't have to be in person or physical in nature. The use of the latest technology allows women businesses in Central Asia to be successful at the regional level.
Tourism is an important sector for women in business, with specific issues following the post-COVID recovery. The "Forum for women entrepreneurs in the tourism industry" hosted by Association of Business Women Uzbekistan will enable the full discussion of current issues.
Within Central Asia there are big differences in the development of tourism between countries. This event will enable sharing of best practice and connect business women for the development of their businesses.
Information technology continues to develop at a fast pace. Women entrepreneurs need their businesses to keep up to date and the women's economic empowerment movement needs to embrace technology as a catalyst for change.
Women Leaders in Business in Turkmenistan will host this event to explore these important issues. Where are the opportunities, how can women exploit these for their businesses, how can we both more interconnected, how can we boost trade with technology?
To mark the official Women's Entrepreneurship Day 2023, Women's Forum "Kurak" are hosting an exhibition to showcase the work of women in handicrafts and fashion across Central Asia.
This will be for designers and buyers alike, a key event for facilitating connections and regional trade. The event will be for experienced and start up businesses, also considering the important role of mentoring and sharing best practice in the development of women's businesses.
